Freedom

Voltaire, a French philosopher and writer, once said that “Man is free at the moment he wishes to be”. Maybe true, man has capacity to be free, to voice out his beliefs and to defend himself once intruders invade his territory. But how about these creatures of the wild? Don’t they have a right for their freedom? They say that zoos are there to preserve the endangered species. When you think about it, maybe they’re right. As they say, it is true that the animal’s biggest threat is humans, but we humans are also their only hope! But is there a chance for us to let them return to the wild once they have multiplied? I don’t think so; they will forever stay here in the zoo. I don’t think humans will let them go considering the money they bring when they stay in captivity.

Do you want to be in their position? Sometimes, we wish to be free and escape out of the real world. To be able to do whatever we wanted without considering others! Doing something without reasons, it’s just that this is something we wanted to do. We all have our cages; we all have our own zoos. Though sometimes we want to break out, we just can’t do it… Are you free whenever you wish to be? Why not!!? Just remember Thucydides’ words, “The secret of happiness is freedom. The secret of freedom is courage.” More Here
